ASF VI executes its investments in a variety of ways. Among other things, the fund acquires existing private equity interests from other investors, but it may also acquire a portfolio of companies that will be managed by an existing or new manager. AlpInvest leverages its global relationships with private equity managers to generate attractive opportunities for ASF VI.

ASF VI specifically targets funds where it has good visibility into the underlying businesses, where growth potential should be identifiable from operating earnings and enterprise value.

In addition, ASF VI targets funds between the 3rd and 6th year of investment, allowing the fund to realize both early cash returns and long-term value creation.
